Yes, you can. We prepare you to bring what is needed. Each U.S.
college has their own process. They may give you time to gather
documentation of disability. Our experience is: students who negotiate
504/ADA aids and services before classes begin, manage symptoms
more easily in college. That is a huge benefit.

No. Its intended use is for students capable of self-advocacy for
services and success in college-level coursework with 504/ADA
accommodation. Check with your college to make a determination.

  1. There are two things you must know to answer this question:
    You must know the specific limitations in the classroom caused by the
    diagnosis.
  2. You must know the federal laws and the civil rights you may have in
    college. This is so important, we provide the federal laws of higher
    education access for you to read in The Passport to Education®.
    For students who are qualified for 504/or/ADA by the college’s Disability
  3. Support Services Office, one common accommodation is: more time in a
    quiet place for quizzes, tests, exams. This is one of many common
    accommodations offered by colleges, if your diagnosis relates to this
    need.

The Passport provides questions for your doctor. This is a very fast
process because your doctor’s time is limited. Make the appointment and
bring The Passport to Education® to your doctor. The Passport process
completes in one doctor’s appointment.

No. Our work provides the tools to initiate a clear, thorough and time-
sensitive request for accommodations to your college. Colleges make
the final decision of who qualifies. Your work is to bring the pieces
together to have a meaningful meeting with the college and lay the
foundation for graduation. We are partners in this process.

Here is one example to consider; we present four more in The
Passport to Education® for you to assess:
Learning: The ability to read, focus, remember, assess, connect ideas,
research, write, speak about, and be evaluated about a topic. We provide
guidance for you to evaluate the impact of the diagnosis.
